Referrals and Bookings
See your GP first for a Mental Health Care Plan referral in order to claim the Medicare rebate for Clinical Psychology Services. If you have a psychiatrist, you can ask them for a referral letter to Carolyn.
You, your GP or psychiatrist can email your referral to Carolyn at carolyn@brisbanecps.com.au
You can call or email Carolyn directly to book an appointment or click here to book online. Please book the free 15 minute pre-appointment phone consult with Carolyn first so that she can determine if telehealth is appropriate for your needs.
Fees and Rebates
Therapy consultations with Carolyn are usually 50 minutes and cost $240, but you will only be out of pocket $102.95 if you ask your GP for a MHCP (Mental Health Care Plan) referral or a letter from your psychiatrist. This is because the Medicare rebate for a clinical psychologist is $137.05.
Carolyn is able to process your rebate for you at the end of your appointment so you should have this money in your bank account within 1-2 business days.
Alternatively, if you have private health insurance, you can contact them to check whether you can get a rebate for clinical psychology services, but this is usually less than the Medicare rebate.
