Therapy consultations with Carolyn are usually 50 minutes and cost $230, but you will only be out of pocket $93.65 if you ask your GP for a MHCP (Mental Health Care Plan) referral or a letter from your psychiatrist.  This is because the Medicare rebate for a clinical psychologist is $136.35.  

 

Carolyn is able to process your rebate for you at the end of your appointment so you should have this money in your bank account within 1-2 business days.

Alternatively, if you have private health insurance, you can contact them to check whether you can get a rebate for clinical psychology services, but this is usually less than the Medicare rebate.  Carolyn can process your private health insurance payment for you so that you only need to pay the gap amount.
